Linking Around

Tonight I was looking around on friend's blogs and I was taken to someone's blog. They had posted about this website that challenges you to take pictures of what they spy. It is called: We Spy, You Spy. It looks pretty cool and I'm going to catch up and take the photos that I have missed out on. Thanks Lara for posting about the challenge blog. She takes some really great photos, check them out on her blog.

Organization # 2

So, I've been working on organizing more and I've been tackling my scrapbook room/office. I organzied all my desk drawers. I didn't even know that the bottom one would hold file folders. It is great. I now have 15 folders that have labels with stuff actually put away right. It is a great feeling. I sorted through all of my stickers, rubons, and cut-outs and seperated them into their own drawer like this:

Then I reorganized my shelves that my dad built for me. I got rid of the junk that I didn't want in here and organized the stuff I wanted to keep. I sorted out the containers that I've had and made them work again for me. Everything is in it's place and there is a place for darn near everything. It looks like this now:

Next to it, I have a spice rack that I bought for eyelets and brads. I love this thing. When it came in, hubby didn't even want me to put it in my scrap area, he said it should be in the kitchen. Well, it went there for a while, but now it rests in my scrap room. I love this thing. Check it out:

Today, my Sister in Law told me about some containers at the local dollar store. I didn't see hers that she bought, but I was heading that way so I stopped and picked me up one. I love it!! I went back and bought more. I'm going to sort my pictures into them. I'm going to make each box it's own category. One for Friends, Family, Extended Family, Kameron, Kaydence, Adam & Beka, Places we go and Misc. I love love love them. I can't wait to get started sorting pictures. Here is the shelves where they are going to sit:

My Monday

I had a good day today. I went to lunch, without kiddos, with a friend of mine who I haven't seen in months, long time. I got to catch up with her and just talk. It was great. Then I headed over to Old Navy to return some flip-flops. Their new style of flip-flops are smaller then the old ones. I didn't think about them being different so I just grabbed the size I normally wear. Well, they didn't fit so I exchanged them. I was checking out everything and found this beautiful dress for Kaydence:

It is so pretty! I'm so excited for her to wear it. Then we went and picked up my niece from school and headed home. We decided to all cook together, us and Lorie and Oscar, for dinner tonight. It was yummy. Then we played a few rounds of bowling on the WII. I made Pro and after everybody left, I played a game with Kameron and beat my record, I got 215. It has been a good day and I look forward to the rest of the week. I'm getting together with some friends to scrap and I can't wait for that. Later.............

Organization

Organization is key to living smoothly. Okay, that is my opinion LOL. I've been trying so hard lately to get more organized. I just know that as soon as I can get everything in it's place and a place for everything, my life will run more smoothly. I very much believe this and have been working on it. I've been dejunking, which is the first step. I so hope to have everything done soon, but I'm not going to stress. I'm going to celebrate the small steps as they come. Kameron's room is done. I love it. When I walk into it, and its clean, I just feel better. I know that once the rest of the house has the organization that his room does, I will be great. I started by organzing all his toys into buckets. Then, I took pictures of the buckets and labeled them and put a spot for them on the shelves. Like this:

After I had all the buckets on the shelves (10 of them) I showed Kameron where everything goes. I talked to him about putting something back when he was done playing and how to find where something goes. I like that the buckets can be pulled off the shelves and played with. Once he is done, he can just put everything back in the bucket and back to the shelf it goes. When everything is put away, it looks like this:

Tell me that it doesn't look great. Sorry, I'm really excited about it. I know that it will be so much better for him to clean and play. Before, it was a huge toybox and you couldn't find same pieces if your life depended on it LOL. I so love this. I can't wait to tackle the rest of the house. I've been working on my office/scrapbook room and I'll let you know when that is complete. It is looking so much better too. I can't wait.

Happy Birthday Kameron!!

Well, today my baby boy is four years old. I can't believe that time has passed so quickly. It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. It is just crazy. This morning he woke up and was just so excited. He knew it was his birthday and he was lovin' it. He was smiling the whole time and just couldn't get enough! He got a shave set, (pretend of course) a game for his leapster and a book. I love to read and I want more then anything for my kids to be readers too. This book is cool though, it is a collection for four year olds. They have more of them for the different ages and I'm going to go back and get the rest so that they kids will have a set. Well, Happy Birthday Kam, I'll update in a few days with pictures from the party and of today.

IPod

I love my Ipod!!! I finally have enough songs to really love this thing. I've been getting so many songs from I-tunes and CDs that we have so I can get my playlist grooving. LOL I love it. I have such a variety of songs, even a few my brother in law likes..... We don't listen to the same music so it is cool to have some songs that he knows and likes!! I've had this thing for a year now and the list is finally good. I want to add more, but now I can listen to it and not feel like something is missing. The kids have been sick, uhhh, and then Adam got it. But, everyone is on the upside of it and I'm thankful for that. I cleaned today and spent a few hours outside with my sis, hanging out, talking about the future. It was a great day, it was so BEAUTIFUL!!! It has been a good week and I'm doing good.
