Crayon Rolls

Today my sister-in-law posted the cutest crayon holders. They are awesome!! They will make a great stocking stuffer and perfect for all of those kiddos that love colors. You can check them out at her website: Homemade with Love. I think she did a great job and I can't wait to get the one she made for Kameron. I'll post a picture of it on here when she gets it done!!! Great Job Sis!!!

Today was the Day

Today was the day....I finally organized Kam's closet the way I wanted. I had Adam build me two shelves, and I bought 8 buckets from the dollar store to organize in. I then preceded to go through the toy box, and sort. By the time I was done, two trash bags came out full, a love seat full of stuff to donate and one organized room. It looks great, I'm so excited. My SIL is borrowing my camera, but once she is done, I'll post some pictures. I still have a few more things I am going to do to it, but for now, it is great!!! He can just grab a bucket and play with something and all the pieces are there. Then he can just put everything back and put it back on the shelf. By the time I got done sorting, there was no need for the toy box so out it went. He is excited too, he didn't remember that he had half of the stuff that I pulled out of there. It was a huge mess but no more!!! I'm so proud of myself. Took about 5 hours to get everything right, but oh so worth it. I'm tacking the Christmas lights outside tomorrow morning before the rain comes.

OUCH!!!

Well, today I went to Sam's Club with my sister-in-law, Lorie. We were just getting started on walking around. We had stopped at the I-pods to check out the new mini size and discussing why we wouldn't buy something that we could lose so easily. As we get ready to move along, I step to the side and guess what..... A lady freakin runs over my foot with a dang-blasted electric carts. Let me talk about some hurtin going on. I was in pain. I put my head down, after she backed up back over it, and tried not to cry in the middle of Sam's, well, the side. Anyways, the lady didn't apologize or anything, she just drove off. My foot has a long gash on it and is steady turning blacker. I think by tomorrow, when I wake up, it will be mostly black. I wouldn't doubt it. If it actually gets like that, I'll take a picture. It hurts now though, man. It is bruised everywhere. I keep trying to cross my feet and I keep hitting it. It sucks. Hope everyone had a better day then me!!!

Holidays

The Holidays are right around the corner, well, Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I didn't get many food assignments for tomorrow so I've just been getting the house cleaned for dinner. Everyone is coming over here and I'm so excited. I love having everyone over to spend time together. It is pouring here right now. The rain is bringing in the cold that is supposed to be here tonight. It is gonna drop like 30 degrees or something. I'm excited. Even though Adam is going to hate putting up decorations in the cold, I tried to tell him to do it last weekend lol. Friday morning, bright and early, I plan on being out shopping. My parents are gonna spend the night so that they can watch the kiddos and we can head out. That should be fun. Lorie is gonna come with me and I don't know if Adam wants to make the treak. On Saturday, we are going to my MIL's house to visit and do Thanksgiving all over again. I have so many things to be thankful for. After Thanksgiving, I'll post those because I want it to be a little thought out. Hope everyone has a great holiday. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Work Out

Well, I went to the gym again today, (I went yesterday too), and I feel great. However that works. lol I ran a mile both days and biked for at least 2. Today I tried out a rowing machine. It was AWESOME!! It gave me such a workout. I thought that it wasn't going to do much, because when I started, it was easy. Boy was I wrong. It really worked my muscles and gave me a good workout. I'm going to be starting an aerobic class probably next week. I know that it will be great for me. I have a few personal goals that I'm working towards and I'll share them as I get to them. Adam has been training for three days now and seems to be doing great. I've helped him study and memorize stuff both nights and I'm sure that tonight will be a repeat of the same. I have been working on making him flash cards because they have so many things that they have to memorize. He will be great though. I'm so dang pround of him!!

Too Long

Sorry, that it has been a while since I posted. I've just been going through my routine. Pretty normal stuff. We bought some carpet for the kitchen. I've only had plywood in in since we moved in cause we have never put anything there. We bought some indoor/outdoor stuff for the floor and then Adam went to work on installing it. It is almost done, and is sooooooooooo much better then the plywood. I'm so excited cause it looks great and will be so much better. We are trying to plan a last minute Halloween party and tomorrow we are going shopping for some supplies!! It should be fun. Adam starts training on November 5. It should be about 11 weeks long and then he will be a probationary firefighter for a year. Kameron is too smart for his own good. Whenever he talks, you would think that he is older then he is. He is our little man. Kaydence is getting bigger everyday. She is a wonderful baby that takes catnaps throughout the day, but sleeps most of the night. It is nice. Well, she is stirring, and I've got to unload the dishwasher and catch up on my chores.

Houston FireFighter

Well, on Thursday, my hubby brought me home roses. He asked me if I loved him, and I told him of course. He then gave me the best news ever. Houston Fire Department called him and offered him a job!!!! OH MY GOSH, I was so excited and proud and happy and so many emotions at once. He is a wonderful man and will make a great firefighter. His training will begin in November and he goes on Wednesday, 10-17 to sign his paperwork and get bunker gear. Go Adam, you ROCK!!!

Great Day

Today was a great day. I started it off right by heading out to the gym and running a mile and a half. I've got that down. Next time I go, Thursday, I plan on running for 30 minutes and seeing how far I go. After that, I went and visited my cousin Nancy. The kids played together and had a blast. I then headed over to a lady I met on Kingwood Yard Sales to pick up a Jogging Stroller that I got for 15 bucks!!!
Then I headed over to the store to pick up some milk and a few other things that we needed. I came home and got my cards ready to mail. About that, on Saturday, I went to a Shoebox Swap. I learned to make this card,

sorry it is a little blurry. Then I went home and tried to copy the pattern with supplies that I had. It turned out good, but just not the same WOW factor as this one. All of the product in that card is Stampin Up product. Here is the card that I made:

I made four of them and mailed them out to my cousins. I got invited to start sharing stuff with them monthly so this was my first thing. I also sent them a photo of the kids!! I went to Michaels and Hobby Lobby on Monday, and brought the original card. I did my best to match paper, and this is what I came up with on my second atempt.

Still not the same, but until I get a few different punches and some stamps, I'll just keep on trying. I thought that they both came out really cute. I made 3 of these and mailed two of them off to other people. I had to run out in the rain today to catch the mailwoman so she would take them. I felt so good after I cooled down after my run. I didn't realize how much better it made me feel. It gave me energy and a desire to get tons done. I'll let you know how that goes, I can hear my baby girl getting up.

Hanging Out

I got to hang out with a good friend of mine yesterday. She came over about 9:30 and stayed until about 5:15. She brought her daughter over to play with Kameron and they had a blast. It was so good for Kameron to play and it was great for me to be able to visit. I hadn't seen her since Kaydence was still in the hospital and it was good catching up. She took home a few of the recipes that I have cooked, and she was excited about trying them. I have been working on a project for the shoebox swap that I am particiapting in on Saturday. I still have a few more things to do, but I am excited about what I made and hope that everyone likes them. Well, I'm off to bed, cause it is really early on this day of October.

We have a little girl

I'm not a girly girl, I don't wear much makeup, I don't wear dresses except when I'm going to church, I never did dance, I played sports. I was so worried about having a girl. I knew I would love all of my children, but I thought that I would have an easier time with boys. I didn't know how wrong I would be. I know that she is only 3 months old, but I just can't believe it. She is so beautiful and just amazes me everyday. We have a little girl and I am so blessed. I am the mother of two wonderful children and I will always love them and be so thankful for them.

New Hair Cut

So, we went today to get Kameron's hair cut. We always get it cut short on the back and then trimmed on the front. This is what we got:

The lady didn't meant to do that. She didn't hear me say short on the back only. I wasn't mad, I thought it was funny. And it is just hair, it will grow back quickly. I keep calling him baldie. Chrissy kind of looked at him funny when she saw him. Oh well, what can you do? Just scrapbook it I guess!!

Warm Cookie

/
This is a cookie that Kameron made. He wanted his cookie warm. (They had been sitting out on the stove for a while) He decided that he wanted to heat it up in the microwave. I was in the bathroom and he comes running in. "Mom, I opened the door and all this smoke came out." I run into the kitchen and it stinks. I open the microwave and I see tons of smoke and this. Good Grief!!!

Balloons

Yesterday Kameron was playing with the balloons left over from the pary we had for Lorie. Lisa and Oscar blew up a ton of balloons and they were still floating around the house. Kameron got the red sharpie off of my desk and grabbed a balloon. He drew a smilie face on the balloon and brought it back to me. I'm not exactly sure where the marker is now, but the balloon is still floating around the living room.

1 Mile

Well, today I started something new. I want to run everyday excepts Sundays. I haven't been able to exercise much since Kaydence was born, but I plan on starting again....by running. I ran a mile today and I thought I was going to pass out. Adam runs almost everyday and I want to be like that. After I got done though, I felt so good. Like I was full of energy and ready to do anything. I'm heading over to Lorie's now to work on a susprise for Morgan. We want to be able to give it to her tomorrow evening. Lorie's birthday party went great, she was susprised!!! She got lots of great things for the kitchen and got to see a bunch of her friends she hadn't seen in a while.

Catching Up

I haven't written anything in a while. I hate that I can't keep up with this. I really want to, but I just slack. You would think with all of the time spent on my computer, I would have this down pat. Oh well, I'll just keep working on it. Tomorrow is Lorie's birthday. My parents are coming over so I've got to get everything ready because they plan on spending the night. I'm so excited about giving Lorie her birthday present. We've had it for a while and it is just killing me to give it to her because I know that she will love it!!!! Yesterday, Lorie and I went to College Station to visit Kort's girlfriend, Morgan. She is so sweet and was so excited to see us. We hung out for a few hours and then headed back home. Adam stayed with the kids. Lisa is going to have a baby, I can't remember her exact due date, but I know that it is sometime in March. I'm excited for her. She will make a good mom, once she gets past being so tired. Adam has his poloygraph test with Houston next Thursday. Constant Progress. I'm so excited for him and our family. Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!!

My Goals for Today

Well, today I plan on getting the house cleaned up from yesterday. We had some family over and had dinner. I cooked Taco Salad. It was yummy and that is probably how we are going to cook it from now on. For dessert, I made Apple Dumplings. I can't find them on Martha Stewart's website to show you. They were really good. They took some work, but everybody said that they enjoyed them. I was happy that everything turned out good. I plan on getting my son's room cleaned good enough for him to sleep in. I have a lot to do to get it to that point. I plan on trying to mop our huge living room floor, but I don't know about that one. My mop got left outside and it is pretty dirty. Well, I better get started on my chores. Wish me luck. Maybe if I get everything done that I want to, I can scrap something. My sister-in-law was telling me about this site, This is me Journal Blog, and it seems pretty cool. I think that I might start trying to work on some of those challenges, and get some more pages done for Kaydence's album.

Problem of the Day

So today I was, no, today I am, getting my house cleaned. Including the dreaded 3 year old's room. That place is a mess. Well, I'm sitting down to feed Kaydence, and low and behold, Kameron manages to scrap half the skin off of his underarm. He said that the wall did it. So I'm trying to convince Kaydence that she needs to eat a little faster while trying to help soothe Kameron. While she is eating, she poops. You know that breastfed babies only poop runny so guess what fun I had in store for me later!!! She finishes eating and I go to the bathroom to the the peroxide, band-aid and neosoporin. As Kameron is crying from the peroxide, Kaydence is pretty mad that I haven't changed her yet. I get Kameron bandaged up and take Kaydence to her room for the much needed diaper change. As I remove the diaper, in goes her foot into it. Yeah, now I have poop all over her toes. Get those cleaned with a washcloth and finish cleaning her bottom and everywhere else. While I'm doing this, the onsie gets poop on it in several places. So, now we are changing clothes. What a joy. As I am taking off the dirty one, Kameron comes running in, practically crying, because he has to go potty. I'm telling him to just go, and he says, "I can't, my arm is broken and I need to hold my pee-pee." Well, good grief, I get Kaydence in her swing and help Kameron get his underwear down so he can sit on the potty. Man, I'm glad that all of the problems are over, if only Kameron would stop walking around with his arm in the air because he is afraid that the band-aid will come off.

Mom2my6pack

So I was browsing KingwoodUnderground today and starting reading about an E-bay posting for some pokemon cards. I was directed to this website. I found the funniest stories about being a mom and couldn't believe how many hits her blog was getting. I decided that I should write about her and try to get my blog up and going again at the same time.

The Grocery Game

Well, I've started trying to save some money on my grocery bills and my old employer told me about this website called The Grocery Game. I didn't really pay much attention, but then I started seeing all the stuff she brought home and hearing her totals. Needless to say, I was interested, really interested. I started collecting coupons and wow, what a difference. I save at least half of my bill everytime I shop and I've even gotten money back. I get tons of stuff free, or next to nothing. It is an awesome website and so helpful for families. I recommend it to anyone and have a blast playing. My husband thinks it is pretty cool too.

Life's Happenings

Well, let's see, I haven't been on here in months. But, I've decided that I wanted to keep this up to be able to share with others my life happenings. Also, my husband already says I spend WAY too much time online. on Kingwood Underground, so I guess I'll show him that I can do something worthwhile. So much is changing and so much has changed. We are expecting our daughter on July 3rd. Her name will be Kaydence Allisa and we are so excited. Kameron keeps telling us that he is going to hold her always. So cute. Adam is working for an EMT company and he loves that. He works 3 days a week and has 4 off. During his off time, he has been building a carport/shop at the end of our house. Totally cool!!! He is planning on applying with Houston Fire Department in June so I hope that everything works out with that. Kameron is way smart. He can spell his name, give you his phone number, tell you his address and remind you of when his birthday is. At 3 years old!!! He is learning his letters, he knows about 5 right now. We work on that everyday. He loves to have me read to him, I don't think he will ever get tired of books, at least I hope not. I am back to being a Stay-at-home mom, the best thing that I can be. I know that it makes a difference in Kameron's life, I've seen how much he has learned since I've started staying home again. I haven't been scrapbooking like I want to, but I've been orgainzing my house and working on keeping it company ready. That's always been something that I've struggled with. Doing much better though. I hope to be able to keep this up-to-date, that is my goal at least. Okay, wish me luck.
