Easter 2008

These were the Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny left for Kameron and Kaydence. Kameron got 101 Dalmatians and Kaydence got a toy telephone! Kam was so excited to check it out. He had been asking about the Easter Bunny for about a week. He woke up super late though so it was like after 10 by the time he saw what he got. It was so fun to watch him look through everything. He carried the little bunny around all day. Today he pulled it out of the bucket and was walking around with it. Kaydence got her first tooth Sunday morning! I had broke the surface. Her second one is working it's way up as we speak. This is a picture of Kameron and Kaydence after they had looked through their baskets.

Baby Mackenzie is Here!!!

She was born at 2:03 via a scheduled C-Section. She was 8 lbs 10 ozs. She was 20 inches long. Lisa was 5 days late and her pelvic bones weren't allowing the baby to push down to start labor. The doctor said that she could hold out longer, but she probably still wouldn't have been able to push out the baby. She is beautiful.

A Whole Week

I've been so busy this past week. We finished up the painting and then got everything moved back into the room. My parents came over and my dad helped build me some more shelves to put scrapbooking stuff on. Hubby bought a john boat and can't wait to go fishing with Kameron. Kameron is so dang excited!!! I signed up for Stampin' Up. I can't wait for my stuff to come in, speaking of which, I'm going to check its location when I'm done posting. I went to Ikea and bought a few things. I bought some huge clear glass jars that I put my rubber stamps in. They look cool. My sister in law saw an idea to decorate them in one of my Stampin' Up catalogs and hers turned out so cute. I've been trying to think of something to do on mine, but haven't come up with anything yet. Tomorrow, I'm volunteering at a book fair for a few hours. My sister still hasn't had her baby. She was due on March 14, but nothing yet. I know she is ready to have the baby. Well, I have a few things I've got to get done, but I'll post some pictures of the completed room this evening hopefully.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been super busy this past weekend. On Friday, we stood at the paint counter at Wal-Mart for over an hour to get some dang paint mixed. We had to get a manager and he gave us a $20 gift card for our trouble. We came home with our paint and I was ready to move. I have been wanting to paint the office for a while. It was 2 different colors and I hated it. Well, Adam hated it more because the yellow was such an awful color. (I'm really bad about picking out paint LOL) So, I started moving everything out. And let me tell you, it is a lot of stuff. I got it cleared and we started painting. At around 11, we finally went to bed because we ran out of paint. I got up at 6 the next morning and headed back to get more paint. There was no wait this time, it went smoothly. I got home and worked for a few hours before heading over to my sister's place. I was there for several hours getting her place all ready for the new baby. She got all of her furniture from her MIL and I helped get it together and it put where she wanted. I can't believe how close she is to having a baby. She is due on the 14th!!! What is that, like 4 freakin' days, OMG. Anyways, that was a successful day and on to Yesterday.
Man, it was a busy day too. We got up and I started finishing the edges and then I painted the shelves. I had to let them dry so I moved in other stuff and organized the desk and got rid of stuff. We didn't get much back in the room yesterday, but we still made progress.
Today, I worked on sorting stuff. I have 3 trash bags of stuff that I didn't need or want. I went through my pictures and only kept ones that I would actually scrap. I threw away pictures that I took like 5 in a row of and they are the same thing. It felt so dang good. I am so loving this organization stuff. I can't wait to head to Ikea with my SIL to pick up some glass jars to sort my stamps in. Well, I better finish getting all these pictures back in their boxes. Until Later.......

4x6 Album

I got this idea from Stacey Julian about scrapbooking pictures you receive from extended family. It is a totally wonderful idea and I fell in love with it. The past week, any time I've sat down to scrap, I've worked on a 4x6 layout for the extended family album. I LOVE IT. Here are the layouts so far that I have completed.

I so love her book. I'm very tempted to get my own copy. Amazon has them on sale right now and I get free shipping. I'm trying to be good though. I'm so getting this book, but I'm trying to wait on Amazon to get it so I don't have to pay shipping!! We will see though, we will see.

Songs and More

I love my I-Pod playlist. It is such a variety. I've actually had several people ask for my playlist. It's great. But, lately, my hubby has been wanting to get more songs and it got me thinking about songs from the 90's. Oh my gosh, I just spent the past hour gathering songs to add to my playlist. By the time I get done, my playlist is gonna jump to about 500 songs. But man oh man, it's gonna be great. I'm so excited.
In other news, I got to see my cousins from Mississippi this weekend. They came down for Adam's graduation, which was on Thursday. I got to pin his badge on and it was awesome!!! I went and visited my cousin yesterday, she just had a baby girl. She is so beautiful.
Kameron is getting smarter every day, I swear it LOL!! Yesterday we were outside, talking about something. Kameron and Chrissy were playing in this little tykes playhouse that I found at a garage sale for 15 bucks!! Chrissy was a little too tall for it, she would bump her head. Lorie and I were talking and Kameron said, "We can put bricks under it to make it taller." And then he walked over and grabbed some bricks and brought them over to the house. Once there were bricks under it, Chrissy fit wonderfully and they played like it was a drive-thru. It was so cute. I took some pictures that I'll post later.
Adam starts tomorrow at his new station. I'm so excited for him. We went by the station, but I didn't get any pictures. I'll go by there again this week and get some pictures. It is time for me to start his Firefighter Album and I have to have pictures of his first station! He is going to be working on a firetruck for three months and then will be working on an ambulance for a while. Then, once all his probationary time is up, he will rotate working on the ambulance and working on a firetruck.
