How Does Your Garden Grow??

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine, Shelly, was getting some dirt brought to her house for a garden that she was planting. She had mentioned to me while we were scrapbooking that she was going to be moving it alone. So, the next morning, we loaded up the kiddos, our shovels and the wheelbarrow and headed over to her house. The dirt people dropped off a huge pile and we got to work. After her garden area was full, she still had a ton of dirt left. She gave some to her Mother-in-law and said we could have the rest if we wanted it. So, we decided we should plant a garden too. We loaded up some of the dirt and brought it home. Adam cleared an area with the tractor and we shoveled out the dirt. Then, he went and bought some landscaping timbers and got more dirt. We put the dirt down and made the hills for the plants. Adam dug out the holes for the timbers and put them in the ground. I found a coupon from Lowes for 10 off a 25 dollar purchase. I printed them and bought the fencing and plants. I came home and started working on getting the fence around the posts. Lorie and Oscar came out to help get it the rest of the way around. Then, we built a door for the front. Lorie and I then planted our plants. We planted tomatoes, bell peppers, cantaloupe, and some watermelon. We have a few more things to plant and I'm going to do those today. Here is what it looks like!! Woohoo, can't wait for some fresh veggies!!
